Your first visit
Find below everything you need to bring to your first visit, to help make your appointment as smooth and stress-free as possible.
Referral letter
A referral letter from your general practitioner or specialist outlines the reason for your appointment and allows you to claim a Medicare rebate after your consultation.
Imaging scans
Test results
Medical reports
Please bring copies of your X-ray, CT or MRI scans. If you do not have a hard copy, please let us know where they were performed, as these will be reviewed during your consultation.
Please also bring any other relevant results such as specialist reports, discharge summaries, operation reports, or nerve conduction studies, particularly for complex cases or second opinions.
Medicare & Private Insurance details
Please bring your Medicare details, as this is required in order to claim any Medicare rebates for services provided. Please also bring your private health insurance information so we can provide estimates and quotes for surgery if required.
Insurance approval
For WorkCover, Compulsory Third Party, or overseas-insured patients, please bring a written copy of your approval letter to your initial consultation, as this allows us to bill your insurer directly. Without this, you may be charged the standard private rate and will need to seek reimbursement from your insurer afterwards.
